Veterans Day is a special day each year to show your appreciation to members of our military, past and present. The theme for Veterans Day 2023 is “Service.” Veterans are proud of their military service in defending our Nation. Honor reflects the military value and tradition of answering the call of duty. There is distinct honor in serving to protect our way of life and the Constitution of the United States of America. Please join us, Kumon of Rockwall by saluting and thanking our Veterans everywhere for their service.
“Give it a try! Or you will never discover your true potential.”- Toru Kumon
The Kumon Method holds the key to unlocking the potential of students of all ages. When children discover their
own potential, they also begin to gain intangible skills like improved focus, time management, increased
confidence, and a boost to their self-esteem.
By building the confidence in students at an early age, they become motivated to reach their goals and learn
to take on challenges both in and out of the classroom with ease. A student’s confidence in their own ability
can pave the way to develop a continuous love for learning.

Dear Kumon Family,
Governor Abbott has ended mask and occupancy mandates for Texas effective March 10, 2021.
Following the example of local school districts and the strong recommendation from Kumon North
America, our Center will continue our current COVID safety protocols.
At Kumon of Rockwall our students’ health and safety is our top priority. We are closely monitoring the situation with the coronavirus (COVID-19).
Staying informed is one of the best ways to stay healthy. You can obtain current information from the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention and World Health Organization:

Instructing your children of the following standard precautions can help reduce the risk of infection. Here area few tips from the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention:
· Teach your children to wash their hands often. Washing with soap and warm water for at least 30 seconds is ideal.(That’s about as long as it takes to sing the“Happy Birthday” song twice).
· Teach your children the proper use of hand sanitizer in case they do not have access to a sink for washing their hands. Gels, rubs, and hand wipes all work well, as long as they contain at least 60% alcohol and if the hands are not visibly soiled. Hand wipes must be disposed of properly. Always read and follow label instructions when using hand sanitizer.
· Teach your children to keep their hands away from their face and avoid touching their mouth, nose, or eyes when possible.
· Teach your children to cover coughs and sneezes with tissues or by coughing into their sleeve or the inside of their elbow – not their hands. If a tissue isused, it should be thrown out immediately.
Thank you for your help in keeping our children and our Kumon Center healthy. If we all practice good hygiene, health officials believe we can limit the spread of the corona virus and other viral illnesses in our homes, schools, and other places where people gather.
Thank you,
Kumon of Rockwall
