Helen Li graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. She has also completed 2 years of Master's level work in Theoretical Computer Science at MIT. After working for 2 years as a web developer, she decided to become a stay-at-home mom and homeschool her 3 children. As her love for education grew, she began to teach classes and tutor other students.
Helen has over 12 years of teaching and private tutoring experience with students in early elementary through post-graduate levels. She has helped students go from struggling to thriving in their math classes at school. After taking her classes, some of her students have discovered for the first time that they actually enjoyed and were good at math.
As a trained and certified Kumon instructor, Helen aims to use her experience and passion for education to help many more students. She looks forward to working with parents to provide a customized instruction plan tailored to their unique student.
In her free time, Helen enjoys cooking, traveling, and doing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
