About the Instructor

Introduction

As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, Prabha serves as a mentor to guide your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. She creates an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and emphasizes the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of her students increase self-confidence and become independent learners. Like all Kumon Instructors, Prabha has a true passion for education and a desire to help each child reach their potential.

Biography and Background

Prabha Nagenthram is not only a trained Kumon Instructor but also has a Bachelor's Degree as well as a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. She was awarded a full academic scholarship as well as a second scholarship after receiving a Gold Medal Award upon graduation.  She was a member of the National Debate Team and was named on the Dean's List for 3 years.

After working as an R&D Mechanical Engineer for a few years, Prabha decided to pursue her passion for education and love of children by becoming a teacher.  Before opening up her Kumon Center in Sandy, Prabha taught high school math and chemistry, following in the footsteps of her parents who were educators as well.

Prabha is a Kumon parent herself. Both her children are Dual Program Completers and are are currently studying at Harvard and Stanford respectively. Her undying passion for Kumon has enabled her to produce many Dual Program Completers at her center.
