I was born and raised in a lovely family that prepared us to allow ourselves to reach our dreams. I was able to achieve my goal of becoming a software engineer after following that path which my parents paved for me. Ten years of experience in the software engineering field did bring me new and interesting challenges. However, it still felt like a voice inside my head was telling me that my mission in life was not yet complete. I was looking for a more challenging and difficult task to accomplish. This drive and determination was also inherited from my family. After moving to a location which happened to be near a Kumon center, it felt like I had been in the right place at the right time. We enrolled our daughter there shortly after we had moved, and I was really able to see how Kumon’s self-learning method improved my daughter’s skills in math and reading. Suddenly my mind lit up, and I decided that becoming a Kumon instructor was my calling. The road to this goal was long and rough, but the journey was worth it, as it is a job much more amazing than one could imagine. It makes me view the world through a different lens. Seeing a parent’s smile after seeing their child’s achievements and progress is a beautiful moment.
