About the Instructor

Jamie Lee - Center Director / Instructor

As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.

Before becoming a Kumon Instructor, I had the opportunity of working as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) at one of New York City’s largest accounting firms for 15 years, and I have also worked as the director of a large childcare center in Orange County with hundreds of students. I also have 2 beautiful girls who have also been involved in Kumon! As my own children have become academically successful with their Kumon journeys, I am a firm believer in the Kumon Method.

While working with many different children as a director, I realized my true passion for teaching, educating, and inspiring. Words cannot describe the feeling of watching students learn, grow, and become more successful; it is truly amazing! Nothing is more rewarding than watching students speed through concepts they thought were difficult moments ago. I am excited to share the gift of Kumon with as many students and families as possible as they prepare for success in high school, college, and beyond. I look forward to showing you and your student what the Kumon Method can do for you.
