About the Instructor

Introduction

As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.

Biography and Background

Laurel Peiffer began her Kumon journey in 2014 under the guidance of the original owner of Kumon of Springboro, Noelle Riccardella. She started as a grader and quickly moved up to an assistant in the main classroom. As the years went on, she took on more responsibilities for Miss Noelle and became her chief assistant in 2018. When Miss Noelle began to talk of retirement in late 2020, the opportunity was offered for Laurel to become the next owner of Kumon of Springboro, an opportunity that she gladly accepted. April 2021 was the official takeover for Miss Laurel and she's been learning and growing right along with her students. It is her firm belief that every child has something to teach her, regardless as to what it may be. Life is about learning, always.

Miss Laurel graduated from Wilmington College with a degree in Business Management and a minor in Accounting. She spent many years running her own business with horses and teaching riding lessons. She taught riding lessons for almost 20 years before jumping in with both feet to takeover the Kumon center. Teaching children in some form has always been a part of her life and something she plans on doing for many years to come. Like all Kumon Instructors, she has a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed in all aspects of their lives.

As a fully trained and certified Kumon instructor, she will serve as a mentor that will guide your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. She will create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and will emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant.
