About the Instructor

Introduction

I provide guidance and encouragement for your children to become self-learners through the individualized Kumon Program. Through being an Instructor, parent, and student of the Kumon Program, I have a great appreciation for this method of instruction and learning. The Kumon method fosters independence, self-learning, and confidence with learning from the worksheets at one's own pace.

We, at Kumon Math and Reading Center of Springfield - South, look forward to working further with you and your family, so they, too, can reach their full potential.

Biography and Background

Helping people learn, in any area, is a joy and passion. I have undergone extensive training to become a professional Kumon Instructor and continue to train with professional development courses. Previously, I taught at the collegiate level in various capacities in both Canada and the United States. Some of the universities include Missouri State University, Marquette University, Carthage College, and St. Sava's Seminary. In 2014, I was the jewelry instructor for the local Michael's Craft Store in Springfield, MO. Teaching is my avocation and vocation.

The Ozarks have been home for me and my family since 2003 and I am proud to have my son attend Kumon.
