About the Instructor

My name is Balu Thadickal and I am the Kumon instructor of Kumon of Suwanee East. As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.

I went to college in India and obtained a bachelor's degree in Chemistry. In addition, I have a Master's degree in Computer Science from an American University. Working with fellow colleagues helped me find a passion for education. Also, my two children were Kumon students in Boston and went to Kumon for almost six years. Later, they went on to college to become successful engineers. Having witnessed my children's success in Kumon and their academic accomplishments, I became a strong believer in the Kumon Method. I have enjoyed helping children reach their maximum potential in Kumon and become independent self learners. I look forward to laying a strong foundation for every child that walks through my center door, including yours.
