About the Instructor

Introduction

As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.

Biography and Background

My name is Angela Niswender.  My husband and I share three young daughters and live in Whispering Pines.  I'm a graduate of Colorado Christian University with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. I had intended to pursue a different path other than education with my degree but felt a calling towards early childhood education after my first job as a preschool teacher for 2-1/2 years and then as Assistant Director of a preschool center in Colorado.  The biggest job of my life, however, came five years ago when I became a mother.  I was a stay-at-home mom for four years, and it was the absolute best time of my life! I have always loved working with children, and it is my love for children and education that has lead me to Kumon. Kumon offers such a unique learning model where student learn to become more self-reliant through increased self confidence.  Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed. I am looking forward to working with the future senators, presidents, astronauts, doctors, engineers, athletes, and educators...of our country!
