Biography and Background

Rachna Chaurasia

I grew up in India, where I learned the importance of education. My passion for helping educate others first began as a tutor. While receiving my master’s degree in Mathematics, I taught high school students as a private tutor in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Shortly after receiving my degree, I moved to the United States and began my career as a Sr. Software Quality Assurance Engineer in IT for several years. However, my true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed inspired me to become a Kumon Instructor.

As a Kumon parent myself, I witnessed the power of the Kumon Method of Learning. Since taking over as the Instructor for the Kumon Math and Reading Center of Thornton – Northglenn, I have been able to spend one on one time with my students to help me develop a specialized study plan based on their individual needs. This has helped many of the students increase their self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant.

My goal is to help students exercise their minds and sharpen their talents and skills.

In my leisure, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing board games with my husband and daughters, hiking, running, and biking.
