About the Instructor

Introduction

My name is Brenda Schabert and I am the Instructor at the Dufferin and St. Clair Kumon. I am a firm believer in the Kumon Method of success.

Being a Kumon mom myself of three children: Heidi (11), Ingrid (8), and Johnny (6), I have witnessed the true benefits of the program. I've seen positive changes in their report cards, confidence, self-learning skills and their happy attitude towards school. It has given me peace of mind as a parent.

My goal is to develop children that are able to solve problems by themselves without asking, build self-esteem and grow the ability to take on new challenges for themselves by making it possible to pursue their dreams and goals.

I will celebrate your children’s successes, small and large. I will encourage them every day and let them know they are valued and have a special place in Kumon. Not only am I excited to begin working with your children, but I look forward to the work we will do together.

Please know I will work tirelessly to ensure all your children have the best possible experience and I cannot wait to share with you the great things they do throughout their days in Dufferin and St. Clair Kumon Centre.

Biography and Background

Instructor Brenda Schabert

Before becoming a Kumon Instructor I was the Office Manager and Chief Assistant for the Dufferin and St. Clair Kumon centre for the last 14 years. This is where I learned to love Kumon.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering and have previously worked as a Program Manager for a large business. I have a passion for working with children. In my last 22 years, I have been constantly volunteering to work with them in different environments such as hospitals, schools, churches and Kumon Centres.
