About the Instructor

Introduction

As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.

My strong belief is that the Kumon Method effectively compliments the school curriculum and provides students with a precious opportunity to practice the fundamental concepts which they rarely have time to practice in school. Attaining entrance to any University is becoming increasingly challenging; making skills in math and reading even more essential to success. Kumon's programs are tailored to each child's abilities, with an emphasis on not only the attainment of skills, but also the consolidation of those skills at each level.
I always enjoyed working with children and helping them develop both the love of learning and helping them build confidence in themselves. As an educator I believe that these two factors, coupled with an excellent teaching system such as Kumon, are some of the most important elements in guiding your children towards success. My 10 years of experience at the Vaughan-West Kumon Centre has shown me the difference the Kumon program really makes in the future of its students.
