About the Instructor

As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.

Welcome to Ms. Tamryn's Kumon Center of Visalia! I am a certified Kumon Instructor that strives to encourage and guide my students to success. Here at Kumon, I provide an individual lesson plan for each student that is personalized and carefully executed to reach success. 


I attended the California State University of Fullerton and received my bachelor's degree in psychology. From there, I went on to Azusa Pacific University and received my masters in education, along with a high-school mathematics credential. I planned to teach high school/college-level math until I started to manage a Kumon myself. I was personally trained and groomed by Mrs. Kumon of the Kumon family. I was encouraged and supported to open my own after I had many years of experience managing Mrs. Kumon's. 

I have a strong passion for education and influencing students to become the best they can be. Kumon's math and reading program truly help me reach these goals with its successful program and methodology. Being a former Kumon student myself until high school, I understand the process and what is expected from my students. Managing a center for many years before, I have seen the progress students have made through hard work and dedication to their Kumon work. I have a strong foundation and background with the Kumon method and am excited to improve my students in their academic success.
