About the Instructor

As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.

After years of college and training in education and management, I found myself wanting more. Kumon has always been part of my journey. It was my first job when I turned 16, and I have opened my doors and my heart to this new opportunity as an Instructor. It has been rewarding and fulfilling to see students excel to their full potential. 

Center Goals - My vision for my Kumon center is to be a safe place of learning for students and to serve as a positive influence within the Waipahu community. My approach to education focuses on developing the ‘whole’ student—not just improving academic skills. It is important to me that my Kumon students also become individuals of strong character with effective communication skills and confidence. 

Why I Love Kumon? - It not only strengthens math and reading skills, but it also creates independent learners who set goals and strive to do their best in all that they do. The confidence that comes with learning to work with the Kumon method is instilled, plus the stamina these young minds develop; that's the kind of people that are going to make this world better.
