About the Instructor

As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time-frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed. 

My staff and I have been as enthusiastic and passionate about helping students of various ages and abilities now as we were when we first opened our doors in 2005. Our commitment to our students, to the Kumon Method, and to excellence in education allowed us to foster the skills that our students will need to succeed in the 21st century workplace. Superior math and reading skills, self-reliance, independence, ability to pay attention to details, problem solving – all of these skills are essential to build an excellent life-long learner. I believe all children can improve and reach material ahead of their grade when they are given the opportunity, the proper material to practice, and parental support at home. Many children who come to Kumon might struggle in school, while others might be ahead and need more challenges. In Kumon, our goal is to “meet your child where they are at” and tailor the program to their ability, not their age or school grade. Your child will never compete with anyone and will not be expected to keep up with the progress of classmates or other students in the center, thus progressing systematically and gradually at their own pace.
