About the Instructor

My name is Monte Rodeck and I am the certified Kumon Instructor at the Kumon Math and Reading Centre of Winnipeg - Bridgwater. As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support, and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.

I hold a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) degree from the University of Manitoba and a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA)designation. Prior to becoming a certified Kumon Instructor I held various administrative and management positions in the fields of supply chain management and accounting, within both the manufacturing and transportation sectors. 

Throughout high school and university I worked with children in various roles: running a summer day camp for the city of Winnipeg, assisting children attend day and overnight camps through programs sponsored by Winnipeg Child and Family Services and Manitoba Possible (formerly Society for Manitobans with Disabilities). Looking back at those experiences, I remember how much I enjoyed working with children on a daily basis. 

 Prior to joining Kumon I knew I wanted to branch out on a new career path that would take me outside the corporate office environment I had become accustomed to and allow me to make a more direct contribution within my local community. Now, being a certified Kumon Instructor, I am grateful to have both the privilege and responsibility to positively impact the development of children in my community. I am passionate about the Kumon Method of instruction and its ability to help children of all ages and abilities develop the necessary skills and confidence to realize their limitless potential.
