About the Instructor

Introduction

My name is Ann Campbell and my goal as your child's Kumon Instructor is to provide an individualized study program that will help each child reach their highest potential.  I have many years of training and experience in order to serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.

Training and Certification

Completed Kumon Training

Ann has completed Kumon's training program and is a fully certified instructor. As part of her training, she studied and completed worksheets in both math and reading - starting with basic math through Algebra II concepts and basic sentence structure through critical analysis of passages. By doing these Kumon worksheets, she can relate to the challenges that students may encounter and be able to support them as they work through these topics.

She continues to expand her worksheet knowledge as new and updated material is released in order to appropriately lesson plan for her students' success.

Educational Training

After spending many years as a substitute teacher, Ann decided to obtain her Illinois Teaching Credentials. She holds a Secondary Teaching Certification with endorsements in Middle School Math and High School Business.
