About the Instructor

Introduction

As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.

Biography and Background

Instructor Headshot

I feel very excited and humbled to be a part of your child’s Kumon journey. My experience with the Kumon Program began over 10 years ago. Many of my family and friends have seen substantial benefits by enrolling their children in Kumon Programs. I am also the mother of two amazing children who have been enjoying the Kumon program. My own son enrolled a few years ago and is making excellent progress.  By seeing the benefits it provides to children first-hand, I have become a big believer in the Kumon method and its philosophy. I became intrigued by the method, mostly because of the independence and confidence it builds in children. I believe it effectively complements the school curriculum and provides students with a precious opportunity to master the key concepts that they rarely have time to practice in school.

Training and Certification

Before joining the Kumon community, I completed a Masters in Education and a Masters in Business Administration. Following that, I spent 5 years teaching at Mohawk College, along with 10 years of experience in developing training programs and events for organizations across North America.
