Introduction

Meet Kiko Yoshikawa Steinbarth

A Japanese native, Kiko is passionate in her belief that children deserve to achieve their full potential in school, in extracurricular activities, and in life. She identifies the unique strengths that each and every child has within them, and inspires them with her energetic attitude towards learning. Having witnessed first-hand the success her own children have had through the Kumon Learning Method, Kiko is an advocate for cultivating self-learners who are capable of greatness.

Biography and Background

Instructor Kiko Steinbarth

Prior to opening Kumon Math and Reading Center of Arvada - West, Kiko spent 15 years working in marketing as well as managing two international franchises headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. She also mastered her business and HR skills serving as a lab manager in the Pharmacology Department at the University of Illinois.

Kiko is married with two children in 5th and 8th grade who attend Kumon. When not teaching and running her business, Kiko enjoys watching her son play hockey, running marathons, and spending time with her family. 

Training and Certification

Kiko received her Bachelor’s degree in Law from Doshisha University in Kyoto, Japan, as well as her Master’s degree in Business Administration from GLOBIS University in Tokyo, Japan. She served as a high school level Japanese teacher at Chicago Futabakai Japanese Saturday School where she refined her teaching skills.
