About the Instructor

As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.

Tina Shah - Certified Kumon Instructor

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the Kumon of Bellevue - Lakemont and introduce myself. I am so excited to meet each of you and to work with your children as they pursue their goals, academic and otherwise. 

Prior to becoming a Kumon Instructor, I was working as an educator in the Northshore School District for twelve years. I have a Bachelor of Science in Electronics, and also an AA degree in Web Designing. I was a Kumon parent for many years, and witnessed the success it brought to my own children. As a result, I fell in love with the program. Now, as an extensively trained and certified Kumon Instructor, I will serve as a mentor, guiding your children through their work, providing direction, support, and encouragement.

Working with young people has always been much more than a business for me; I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help your children succeed. I am a mother of two wonderful kids and I understand the need for establishing a firm foundation early on.

Math and Reading are the foundation of all that we do, and to have mastery of these two subjects sets the stage for other learning. Whether your interest in our program is for enrichment or remedial services, your child will experience success right from the start, and progress at just the right level. If we can give our children the tools to succeed early on in life it will positively affect their self-esteem and their overall ability to achieve great heights.
