About the Instructor

Introduction

As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, Kevin Yang serves as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. Kevin creates an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and he emphasizes the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of his students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, Kevin has a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.

Biography and Background

Kevin Yang - Center Director

My name is Kevin Yang. I have a MS degree in biomedical engineering from Boston University. I have extensive training in the Math field. Education has always played an important part in my life and I wanted to give the best education to my own kids. I love the way it feels to help someone learn something new. As a parent, I have first-hand experience and can attest to how the Kumon Program can work effectively. I wanted to pursue my passion by helping as many children in my community as possible to reach above their school grade level. I opened my Kumon center in June 2011. Since then I have been diligently working with my students, my families, and staff. We all are a big family and together we are making a difference in helping children reach their highest potential. Kumon of Blaine offers the best to all our families with individualized plans and careful projections and goals for each of our students. I continue to strive for excellence and look forward to working with your children.
