About the Instructor

As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.

My name is Piyushi Dhir and I am the Instructor at Kumon Math and Reading Centre of Bowmanville.

I come from a family of educators and believe strongly in the power and value of education.

My journey with Kumon began in 2018 when I first worked there as an assistant. I am also a Kumon parent and have seen my son benefit from the mastery of math and reading through Kumon, building a strong foundation of all other aspects of learning and life.

Over the last 12 years, I have worked across India, Africa and Canada in the fields of training and education. Through my work in the education sector in Ontario, I have developed the expertise to gauge students’ academic needs and design solutions to help them achieve their academic potential. I have completed my Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and Masters in Business Administration with specialization in Human Resources. Having worked across industries and continents, I bring a breadth of experience to my students.

I deeply care about each of my students and am committed to helping them fulfill their potential.
