About the Instructor

As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. My staff and I create individualized lessons for your child to improve and tweak their work skills, an improved attitude towards learning and mastering concepts. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Our Center, has a true passion to support your child in succeeding, believing in themselves and mastering math and reading concepts with critical thinking and problem solving in mind. We work with students one and one bringing out the best in them while keeping their learning spirits high!

Biography and Background

Instructor: Jas Dillard

My journey to becoming a Certified Kumon Instructor began with being a Kumon parent. After seeing my niece in London, England develop her confidence and abilities through Kumon, I knew I wanted the same experience for my own daughters. The student-focused curriculum that provides consistent challenge and reward helped them turn, "I can't" into "I can." And isn't that what every parent wants? When I had the opportunity to open my own Kumon Learning Center in 2010, I knew I could nurture self-reliance, independence, and a love of learning in other students, and give parents the tools to support their child's effort, eliminating the need for math or reading tutoring in the later years.

Even after seeing over a thousand students come through Kumon of Myers Park, there's nothing better for us to receive an email where parents express how our Center staff, style and lessons changed their child's life.  As students progress from early learners to successful elementary students, and then to confident test-takers and on into college...I know we're providing something truly unique.  Along with a robust and challenging program, Kumon of Myers Park provides an open and welcoming Center experience representing students and families from public and private schools, language academies, and all over the neighborhood.

I look forward to meeting you soon.
Best Regards,
Ms. Jas
