About the Instructor

Introduction

My name is Nusrat Aireen, the instructor for the Miller Crossing Kumon Math and Reading Centre. As an extensively trained and experienced instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. My role as an instructor is to assess your child’s starting point and to then help them develop their knowledge and abilities. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.

Biography and Background

Instructor Headshot

Prior to becoming a Kumon Instructor, I earned two graduate degrees in Statistics and Economics, which I taught at Grant MacEwan University for more than a decade. My long teaching career has built a strong foundation in teaching students of all abilities and talents. In my free time, I enjoy travelling, spending time with good friends, and of course, spending time with my family. I became familiar with the Kumon program fourteen years ago when I enrolled my elder son in Kumon. Seeing his success, I enrolled my daughter at a much younger age. I truly believe in the Kumon Method and program and will strive to deliver the same success and excellence for your children that mine received in their time.
