About the Instructor

Introduction

As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.

Biography and Background

Atya

Atya Aziz is the Math and Reading Instructor at the Kumon Center of El Dorado Hills - North. Atya received her Ph.D. in Ophthalmic Biochemistry from All India Institute of Medical Sciences and her post-doctoral degree from University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Little Rock - AR.

Prior to becoming a Kumon Instructor, Atya served as a Scientist at UC Davis (School of Medicine) where she managed the laboratory and taught undergraduate students. She has been a Kumon Mom for the past 7 years. Her daughter is a Grade 5th student and has achieved G by 4 star award in Kumon. Atya saw the drastic change beyond expectation in both her kids and became a true believer of Kumon Program.
