The Kumon Center of Elgin - West, Student Incentives
Although the strongest motivation to succeed is the drive from within, external motivation is also an important recognition of the ongoing accomplishment of our students.
Students at the Kumon Center of Elgin - West are eligible to "learn and earn" as they study. Students earn stickers for completed assignments (completed, graded and corrected to 100% accuracy); when the sticker maps or passports are filled, Kumon Dollars are earned. Students also earn Kumon Dollars when they take and pass their achievement tests at the conclusion of each level of study. Additionally, Reading students earn Kumon Dollars when completing all 50 entries in their "Book Tracker" journals. When a student has earned five Kumon Dollars, s/he may redeem them for a $10 gift card to any of several local stores.
We host an annual Student Award Ceremony around our Center's anniversary, recognizing all student accomplishments through the year, including G by 5 recipients, Program Completion recipients, Advanced Student Honor Roll recipients, and students studying the higher levels in both Math and Reading.
Finally, students who complete the entire Math Program or the entire Reading Program earn a signed and framed diploma and a $500 cash scholarship towards their future academic studies.
It is rewarding to study at the Kumon Center of Elgin - West!
kumon+ is a loyalty program that rewards students for attending a Kumon Center. Think of it as a special club for Kumon Students - one that motivates them as they work through the Kumon program. Students earn points for every complete month they attend Kumon, plus bonus points for as long as they’re enrolled. These points can be traded in for exciting rewards. And if students are enrolled in our Math and Reading programs, they’ll earn points for both subjects. Every Kumon Student is a member of kumon+.Click here for more information on kumon+.
The Advanced Student Honor Roll recognizes Kumon students working ahead of their school grade level. Ambitious students remain in the program in order to stay above their grade level. These students study more challenging material than they are receiving at school in pursuit of their academic aspirations.
