About the Instructor

Introduction

Dear visitors,

I am Shafiq Khan, the Director of Kumon Center of Grand Forks. With extensive training and certification as a Kumon instructor, I have the privilege of serving as a mentor, guiding children through their academic journey while providing them with the necessary direction, support, and encouragement.

At Kumon, my approach involves creating personalized at-home study plans and closely monitoring classroom assignments. I emphasize the significance of accuracy and completion within Kumon Standard Completion Time for each task. By adhering to this method, I have witnessed countless students around the globe enhance their self-confidence, develop better learning habits, and cultivate discipline.

My commitment to education extends beyond my role as a Kumon instructor. As a parent myself, I have experienced firsthand the remarkable impact of the Kumon Program on my own children. They started at a young age and have acquired solid math and reading skills throughout the years, surpassing their school standards. One of my daughters excelled academically and went on to graduate school with a higher GPA. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in International Relations at Old Dominion University in Virginia. Kumon has transformed her into an independent learner, reinforcing my belief that every child can benefit from this program.

Prior to becoming a Kumon instructor, I enjoyed a successful career in business management, human development, accounting, and education. This diverse background equips me with a unique perspective and a comprehensive understanding of various aspects of learning and development.

My true passion lies in education, both for myself and for others. I am dedicated to ensuring that your child receives the best possible Kumon curriculum, tailored to their individual needs. I am committed to replicating the same success that my own children have experienced and to providing exceptional educational opportunities for all children under my guidance. Thank you for considering Kumon Center of Grand Forks as a partner in your child's educational journey.

Sincerely,

Shafiq Khan Director, Kumon Center of Grand Forks
