What is the Kumon method?

The Kumon method was developed by a high school Math teacher named Toru Kumon in the late 1950s and is now one of the world's most trusted tutoring programs. The method was designed to help children develop strong math and reading skills as well as the confidence to face new challenges in the classroom and in life!

Can Kumon help my child succeed?

We work with students of all ages and abilities from three years old through high school. Some of our students come for remedial help while others come to receive an extra challenge; still others come to prepare for standardized tests such as the ACT and SAT. We have an excellent team of assistants here at the center to meet your child's personal needs at any age or stage.

How can I get more information about enrolling my child in Kumon?

Our office hours at the center are Mondays through Thursdays from 3:00pm - 4:00pm. Kumon is a year-round tutoring service, so your child is free to jump in at any time. At the orientation, you'll find out how Kumon's unique approach to learning can help your kids:

• Master math and reading, often helping them earn their best grades ever
• Build study skills such as confidence, focus and work ethic
• Reduce homework stress and test anxiety

Your child/children will complete an assessment that will give you:

• Valuable insights into where they stand in their learning
• A recommended progression path that shows what your kids can achieve in their first six months of Kumon

The instructor will prepare an individualized lesson plan for your kids and support them as they progress through Kumon.
