Introduction

Sandip Thanki is trained and certified through a comprehensive system which ensures that he offers the best in Kumon instruction to each student. Homework and classwork are carefully assessed for speed and accuracy to maintain the right level of challenge and to ensure that mastery is attained as each new skill is introduced. Kumon Instructors work very closely with each individual student and his or her family to create the best study plan possible for the student, whether the need is for remedial help or for advanced study.

Sandip Thanki

Sandip Thanki is trained and certified through a comprehensive system which ensures that he offers the best in Kumon instruction to each student. Homework and classwork are carefully assessed for speed and accuracy to maintain the right level of challenge and to ensure that mastery is attained as each new skill is introduced. Kumon Instructors work very closely with each individual student and his or her family to create the best study plan possible for the student, whether the need is for remedial help or for advanced study. 


Dr. Sandip Thanki, referred to as Mr. Sandip by his students, holds a PhD in Physics and Astronomy. He is also a data scientist and continues to research impactful practices that help students become more successful.  


Ever since he was an elementary student, Mr. Sandip found joy in helping others learn. Throughout his college years, he maintained his passion of educating others by working as a tutor. While he was engaged in his research in Astronomy, he continued to teach physics and astronomy classes as a teaching assistant at UNLV. Inspired by the success of his niece and nephew through Kumon, he decided to become a Kumon instructor at the same time he became a Professor of Physical Sciences at Nevada State College after completing his doctorate in 2005. 


Having been an instructor for over 15 years, Mr. Sandip finds extreme joy in working with his students. He finds it rewarding to see when students find their true potential and develop a desire to grow beyond with a deeper love of learning.  


Mr. Sandip is also a Kumon dad of a 9-year-old and enjoys playing, learning, and teaching Indian classical music on Sitar and Tabla. He finds the Kumon method highly relatable to his music. He tries to live his advice to his students of practicing daily.
