Success  Stories

Our students, ranging from preschool through 12th grade, develop the skills that help them build upon each concept they learn. With individualized learning plans, motivation and practice, our center prepares students to become avid learners, encouraging success throughout their entire academic experience and beyond.

Our Success Story

Parents have expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the quality service the Instructors and staff of the West U Kumon Center provide. Parents appreciate the thoughtfulness that goes into the planning of their child's work and enjoy the ongoing communication that takes place very frequently.

Our Kumon students are experiencing a boost in their confidence and also in their grades.

Rachel S.

I started attending Kumon in middle school to get ahead in my math classes. I passed the placement test and reached the level of math that I was learning at school. As a result of the structure of Kumon and the constant help and encouragement of my Instructor, I quickly advanced through the Kumon curriculum. When I reached math courses like Algebra and Pre-Calculus in school, I found myself easily completing my homework and scoring highly on my assessments, due to the strong foundation I built at Kumon. I both volunteered and worked at Kumon during high school, and enjoyed being able to assist younger students with the same help and support I received at Kumon while I was a student. It was wonderful to watch the understanding on my students' faces as they grasped the Kumon concepts. I greatly enjoyed my time at Kumon and highly recommend it for all students who wish to get ahead in math and reading as well as anyone who wishes to make a difference in helping a child succeed.

Thank you,

Saagar P.

Saagar is currently a Junior at St. Thomas' Episcopal School in Houston, Texas. He began Kumon at 4 years old, in both the Math and Reading programs. He completed the entire Reading program and completed the math program through level K.
Kumon has helped Saagar not only to learn and develop his skills in mathematics and reading, but also to apply these skills in his schoolwork and other extracurricular activities. This has led to academic success and numerous awards.
In 2nd grade, Saagar entered the Kumon Math Challenge. He tied for 3rd Place nationally and won a $750 prize from Kumon. He also qualified in Duke University Talent Identification Program and achieved National and State recognition among other academic honors.
Saagar knows that Kumon has been a part of his academic success throughout his education: "Initially, Kumon helped me to develop core math and reading skills that I used to get ahead in the classroom. Over time, however, I gained more from the program than just the ability to manipulate numbers or identify the subject of a sentence.  I developed problem-solving skills that I use every day, both outside and inside the classroom. At first, the work may seem menial and the repetition redundant, but soon you are challenged in a way that only Kumon can."
