Mrs. Jeannie Fung has been a certified Kumon instructor for over 25 years. She started her first Kumon Center in 1995 and took over the Central Irvine Kumon Center in 2001. Mrs. Jeannie has received the highest awards from Kumon for her dedication and commitment towards advancing the education of students in Irvine and Orange County. In addition to being a well-respected and highly-esteemed educator, Mrs. Jeannie has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from UCLA and a Master's degree in Biostatistics from UC Berkeley. Earlier in her career, Mrs Jeannie was software analyst at Rockwell International and Hughes Aircraft.
Mrs. Jeannie's Kumon story began in 1991 when she took her four children to a Kumon Center in Mission Viejo. She always knew the importance of strong math and reading skills. Each of her four children took the self-learning skills acquired through Kumon to achieve various academic and non-academic successes.
Her eldest daughter, Jennifer, received a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Harvard University and pursued business by earning an MBA from Harvard Business School. Alexander, her eldest son, graduated valedictorian from Laguna Hills High School and received a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Harvard University. Mrs. Jeannie's second son, Victor, graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and a minor in Business Administration. In addition to Victor's academic success, Victor is a multiple World Champion Professional Ballroom Dancer. Finally, Tiffany is Mrs. Jeannie's youngest child, and received a Bachelor's degree in Psychology in UCLA and a Master of Accounting from USC. Tiffany is a a certified public accountant who worked at Ernst & Young, a professional ballroom dancer, and currently owns a Kumon center of her own.
