About the Instructor

As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.

Biography and Background

Allison Mori, Instructor and Director of Kumon Math and Reading Center of Peccole Ranch

In addition to intensive training in the Kumon Method, I bring to the center several years of experience as a public and private school teacher providing elementary, Pre-K, and middle school instruction in an award winning school district in San Diego.  In addition to classroom teaching, I have served as a math and reading intervention specialist, a private tutor, and a reading enrichment instructor.  I especially enjoy helping students set, reach, and celebrate their goals!  I graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and earned a bachelor’s degree summa cum laude in history, as well as a multiple subject teaching credential from the state of California. I am passionate about education, learning, and helping students achieve academic success through Kumon study.  As a longtime educator, I believe that this program will not only help your child develop confidence in their math and reading skills and improve their performance at school, but also will nurture their self-learning ability, foster strong work habits, and spark a growth mindset that will ensure lifelong success and achievement!
