About the Instructor
Charlene has lived in the Clear Lake/League City area for over 30 years with her husband.
Her older daughter was a Merit Scholarship finalist, and graduated magna cum laude from Clear Lake HS with numerous honors and awards. She was enrolled in the prestigious and highly competitive Plan II Honors Program at UT Austin where she studied liberal arts and biomedical engineering. She earned her Law degree at the University of California, Berkeley, and was the editor-in-chief of the Berkeley Technology Law Journal.
Her younger daughter was a WAVE student at Westbrook Intermediate and attended Clear Lake HS. She is a student at the Oberlin College and Conservatory in Cleveland, Ohio, working toward a double-degree in Politics and Harp Performance.
Charlene has been a Kumon parent for many years. She found that Kumon was highly effective in improving both her daughters' math and reading proficiencies. In addition to being a Kumon Instructor, Charlene holds a B.S. in accounting from the University of Houston-Clear Lake and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Since Kumon of League City opened in 2004, Charlene has assisted more than 1,900 students in achieving each student's potential. Charlene hopes to share the Kumon philosophy with other parents in this community to assist each child to maximize his or her own potential!
