"Tremendously positive impact"

Kumon Math and Reading Center of League City - North has had a tremendously positive impact in the academic lives of our sons. Mrs. Chen, the center director, has done an amazing job of teaching and motivating my boys based on their individual needs. My oldest son has learning disability challenges. She has found ways to meet his academic needs. He now has a very solid grasp of math and reading concepts. She has also equipped my husband and me by providing suggestions that help us reinforce learnings at home. Our partnership with Mrs. Chen and Kumon has led both of our sons to greater success in reading and math.

"I feel like anyone can do the impossible, they just have to believe in themselves."

School had taught me many basics in math and reading and many other techniques based off the basics that I had known already. The biggest problem was that since we went so quickly in school, there was never enough time to perfect the basics, which in turn hurt my performance in more complicated problems. This is where Kumon comes into play.

Kumon's worksheets gave between 2-5 days just to practice on those 10 pages of basics before moving on to the harder problems, giving me more time to perfect them. Every page was the same thing over and over and over and was fairly repetitive, but the good thing about this repetition was just how well the information was pounding into my brain. Kumon might feel extremely boring, but it is completely worth it and teaches a great habit to keep throughout life.

The biggest part of Kumon's impact wasn't learning the material, but rather learning how to practice. Even to this day, I still try to do the daily 15 minutes of worksheets, whether it's math or genetics, just to practice the basics of the chapter.

Just by sticking with the habits and mastering the basics, I feel like anyone can do the impossible, they just have to believe in themselves.
