We're Back

When the center reopens on July 7th, we will make sure that the health and safety of our staff, students, and families is our top priority.  We continue to monitor the situation closely and are following the guidance of government and health officials. In order to help ensure that our Center remains a safe environment, we will be taking the following steps:

1. For In-Center Students

Center Hours
Tuesday 1:00 - 5:00pm
Thursday 1:00 - 5:00pm

Center Scheduling
We will be strictly enforcing student scheduling to limit the number of people in the center at once (Max 5-8 students at that time).  All students should arrive promptly at their scheduled time and should not remain at the center past their appointment. Please schedule your child to reserve the spot (Tuesday and/or Thursday, What time) by next week (no later than Friday 6/26).

Center Cleanliness
-The temperature of all staff members and students will be taken upon entrance.
-Students will be asked to wash hands or use hand sanitizer upon entrance.
-Anyone who enters the Center will be required to wear a mask.
-All students will be required to bring their own pencil and eraser.
-The classroom will be fully and regularly disinfected: this includes commonly touched / shared surfaces.
-Student Density will be minimized: Only 1/3 of the seats will be filled at a time.  This will gradually be increased to 2/3 over time. One student will be seated per table.
-Conversation and Close Contact will be reduced: Focus will be placed on basic instruction principles, like nonverbal instruction.

Zoom Session
Zoom session will be discontinued once in-center classes resume. Our virtual sessions have been immensely successful during the past three months that the center was closed (April to June). However, we understand that there are certain aspects of instruction that cannot be replicated using technology.  Ultimately, instructors work to develop independent self-learners, capable of studying any subject on their own. We will continue to schedule virtual sessions only for questions or achievement tests for at-home Students.

2. For At-Home Students
We understand that some families do not yet feel comfortable sending their children for in-person sessions at the center. For these families, we will continue to provide homework exchange services.

Next Homework Exchange Dates:
Tuesday6/30 1-6pm
Wednesday7/1 1-6pm

Ages 3 plus Come see how Kumon can benefit your kids

At the orientation, you'll find out how Kumon's unique approach to learning can help your kids:

  • Master math and reading, often helping them earn their best grades ever
  • Build study skills such as confidence, focus and work ethic
  • Reduce homework stress and test anxiety

Your kids will complete a placement test that will give you:

  • Valuable insights into where they stand in their learning
  • A recommended progression path that shows what your kids can achieve in their first six months of Kumon

The instructor will prepare an individualized lesson plan for your kids and support them as they progress through Kumon.
