About the Instructor

Introduction

As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.

Biography and Background

Stephanie Tran - Instructor
Profile

Ms. Stephanie is the instructor at the Kumon Math and Reading Center of Medford. At the age of 5, she was enrolled in the Kumon Math Program in Chinatown Boston and benefited greatly from her time there. Many of the lessons of grit and independent learning that are part of the core of Kumon have stuck with her to this day.

After graduating Cum Laude from Bryn Mawr College in 2013 on a full tuition scholarship from the Posse foundation, she started working part time as a center manager under the direction of her aunt, then instructor, Ms. Mai Du. In February of 2019, she officially took over the center and became a certified instructor. Kumon has been in the family for over 10 years.

Today, Ms. Stephanie enjoys working with the many different types of students that come through the door. She is especially passionate about trying to find the joy in learning and passing that on to her students.

Outside of the classroom, Ms. Stephanie enjoys rock climbing, wood working, and hanging out with friends and family.
