Kamala Govindaswamy, Owner and Director
I took over this present Center on September 1st 2018 after completing the Kumon Instructor Certification Program. Prior to this, I was a parent at this Center for the past 12 years. I enrolled both of my daughters in this present Center when they were around 6 years old. The structure, discipline, and success instilled by this program in my daughters encouraged me to continue this by taking over this Center when I was presented with an opportunity. My educational background is a Bachelors in Microbiology. I have worked with children by being a staff in an elementary school.
I am living in Midlothian with my husband and 2 daughters for the past 15 years. My daughters attended the Chesterfield County Public Schools. Prior to becoming a Kumon Instructor, I was a stay at home mother for my 2 daughters. Later from 2013-2018 I was working as an Library Assistant in Winterpock Elementary.
As a Kumon Instructor, I strive to bring out the best in each of my students, help him/her maximize his/her potential.
Vision of Kumon of Midlothian Swift Creek South:
"Dream of nurturing and enhancing the capability of every student that steps into my Center and blossom them into honest, confident and responsible contributors to the Chesterfield community".
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your child's learning journey!!
