Samantha’s Story

Samantha never dreamed she would visit France, let alone be honored for her exemplary math skills, especially when just six years ago, her parents enrolled her in Kumon because she needed a little extra help with reading and math. Now, Samantha is above grade level in both subjects and has even been recognized by the International Mathematical Society. Samantha accidentally received the eighth grade test at her school for an international math contest. Even though the test was two grades above her level, she received the top score, ranking in the top 4% among 30,000 eighth graders at French schools around the world.

Radley

Radley began Kumon two years ago.  At that time, Radley and his mom felt that he could benefit from more challenging work.  Since enrolling, Radley has advanced through many Kumon levels in Math and Reading.  Kumon has also helped Radley get his homework done more quickly, which is essential to Radley's involvement in extracurricular activities such as baseball, skiing, and soccer.  Radley aspires to be a doctor when he grows up.

Radley recently achieved a Kumon milestone in both math and reading - Level G by 5th grade.  As a result, Radley is studying two years above grade level and is well on his way to becoming the first program completer at Kumon of Midtown West!

Update on Radley Lupiano:

RADLEY LUPIANO HAS COMPLETED THE READING PROGRAM!

Radley enrolled in Kumon in August 2009 as a math & reading student.  He started on level AI reading, and in less than 3 years, he has since completed 18 reading levels!  Radley is the first reading program completer at the Kumon of Midtown West, and at the age of 11, the youngest in all of Manhattan! Radley, a 6th grader, is currently on level J math and he hopes to complete the math program in the near future!
