About the Instructor

As an extensively trained and certified Kumon Instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. 

I create an individualized learning program based on your child's ability and the goals that we have set as a team. In addition to monitoring classroom assignments, I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame, the importance of corrections and simply the need to try!

The Kumon Method of learning helps children of all ages and abilities to build independence and confidence. Our program is focused on learning transferable work skills and building academic excellence. The Kumon Method aims to have all students work ahead of grade level and prepare for secondary and post-secondary education success.

I started my Kumon journey as a student in third grade. I completed both the Kumon Math and Reading programs which allowed me to experience the strong impact our program has on a student's future academic success. Kumon helped me flourish academically, and I am amazed how it has helped my confidence, determination and general enthusiasm for learning. Kumon continues to help me discover my true potential!

I am dedicated to the Kumon Method because I have seen how effectively it builds confidence, self-empowerment, independence and perseverance in children. I have seen children come to Kumon without much confidence in themselves or their skills and transform into children who hold their heads high, are not intimidated by new or challenging work and exude confidence. As it turns out, Kumon is so much more than just "tutoring"!

Aside from Kumon, I am an Ontario Certified Teacher and have elementary teaching experience. My love for education and the Kumon program has inspired me to become a Kumon Instructor. As an educator, I truly understand the dynamic needs of students in our community.

I want your child to benefit from this amazing way of learning. My goal is to use the knowledge and experience I have accumulated to bring you and your family the best supplemental education program possible.
