Originally from Mumbai, India, Ms. Pavitra holds a degree in Computer Science Engineering. Her professional journey began in the corporate world, where she accumulated 15 years of experience. Her background in technology and business provided her with valuable skills in problem-solving, analytical thinking, and project management.
Ms. Pavitra's journey with Kumon started as a Kumon parent in 2005, when both of her daughters enrolled in the Kumon program. Through her active involvement in her daughters' educational journeys, Ms. Pavitra gained invaluable insights into the Kumon method, the challenges students face, and the joys of witnessing their growth.
Ms. Pavitra understands that learning is not just about mastering content but also about nurturing curiosity, resilience, and critical thinking. With this philosophy in mind, Ms. Pavitra designs assignments that challenge her students while instilling a sense of accomplishment. She assesses students work for speed and accuracy to maintain the right level of challenge, and to ensure that mastery is attained as each new skill is introduced. She, along with her dedicated and trained staff, creates an optimal learning environment for every student.
Ms. Pavitra continues to enhance her knowledge of the Kumon Program and student instruction by attending and participating in Instructor meetings, Instructor conferences, Worksheet Study groups, and online workshops. Her goal is to make the learning environment outstanding for all her students, irrespective of their ability or grade level.
Ms. Pavitra resides in Andover with her husband, two daughters, and parents. Outside of her role as a Kumon Instructor, her hobbies include exploring the world through travel, gardening, and watching movies.
