I have a Bachelor of Commerce degree from York University and have worked mainly in finance and business operations during my early career. After the birth of my daughter, I was fortunate that I was able to stay home with her for her early years. I found a new passion during that time, which was teaching. I studied and became a certified Montessori teacher, which truly ignited my passion to guide students and see the young ones grow to their potential. The Montessori methodology is similar to the Kumon Method. Individualized planning, incrementally more difficult work, and guidance (not teaching) enables the student to be a self-learner and gain confidence.
I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed. After extensive training, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support, and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students, including my own children, increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. There is nothing more rewarding than watching a child tackle a new topic independently and experience the joy, pride, and self-belief that comes with it.
I look forward to helping your children reach their maximum ability and succeed in achieving their goals in life.
