About the Instructor

Introduction

My name is Susan Lenti.  As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.

Biography and Background

Me

While studying elementary education in 2007, I started working at Kumon. My goal was to gain experience towards becoming a teacher.  Little did I know that I would come to love the Kumon Method so much. Soon after working at Kumon, I decided I would rather become a Kumon Instructor than a school teacher.  I opened Kumon of Orland Park-West in 2015. As a Kumon Instructor, I now have the opportunity to individualize each student's lesson plan and help each one of them reach his or her fullest potential.

Training and Certification

I have my Bachelor's degree from Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago, Illinois.  I have been trained and continue to participate in training opportunities through Kumon North America.  I worked for Kumon for eight years before opening my own center, which has helped me develop a greater understanding of the Kumon method.
