A Leap Year Comes Around Every Four Years <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n
Although it takes 365 and a \u00bc days for earth to travel\naround the sun, we only actually see 365 days every non-leap year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Every four years, we accumulate a full day ( \u00bc + \u00bc + \u00bc + \u00bc =\n1 day) that was not accounted for in our three previous calendar years. Therefore,\nthe accrued day is observed every four years, known as a leap year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On a leap year, like this year 2020, we will see an\nadditional day added to our calendars on February 29^{th<\/sup>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n}
