Anvita, 13-years-old, Math Level K<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

Anvita is an ambitious, hardworking, and\nforward-thinking student that enjoys robotics, swimming, and playing the\nguitar. Since she enrolled in the Kumon\nMath Program<\/a> seven years\nago, Anvita has taken every step necessary to adapt to the Kumon Method and\napply it to other aspects of her life. Her proactive mindset has allowed her to\ndevelop important skills such as time management, self-learning, and\napplication of concepts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe most\nbeneficial thing I have learned in Kumon is how to think beyond what we have learned.\nFor example, if we learned one topic, then we are equipped to also use our\nlearnings in another way or a different situation,\u201d said Anvita. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With Anvita\u2019s\nanalytical mind, she excels at tracking her own progress as she\u2019s on her way to\nreaching goals. <\/p>\n\n\n

Anivta\u2019s strengths have led to many many achievements including receiving awards in the FIRST Lego League Robotics
Challenge<\/a> (FLL). The FLL seeks bright young students to research a real-world problem, such as food safety or recycling, and then develop a solution to the problem. The solutions developed by teams include basic STEM applications, critical thinking, presentation skills, and creativity. With a deep passion for science and technology, Anvita aims to get into a career related to robotics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her\naccomplishments don\u2019t stop there. Anvita was one of 155 students from Canada,\nUSA and Mexico who was selected to attend the 2020 Virtual Kumon Student\nConference. The students had the opportunity to be inspired and\nmotivated by Kumon Ambassadors, former top Kumon Students who are now excelling\nin their careers and extracurricular pursuits.  They also met each other in virtual breakout\nrooms and engaged in a discussion about methods of teaching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anvita thanks\nKumon for the many academic and learning skills that she has been able to\ntransfer to her personal life. She is also extremely grateful for the support\nfrom her Kumon Instructor and family. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMy biggest\ninspiration is my family because they are all smart and know how to use their\nbrain,\u201d says Anvita. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What do you\nenjoy most about Kumon?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

I like the way\nKumon builds the foundation and prepares students for self-learning, that way\nwe can easily overcome any challenge that comes our way. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

How has Kumon\nhelped you academically?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

It has made math\nin school much easier. I am able to take more advanced courses with ease.<\/p>\n\n\n

How has Kumon helped you outside of the\nclassroom?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Kumon has helped\nme outside the classroom by giving me the confidence and patience I need for\nextra-curricular activities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you could\nsum up your Kumon experience in one word, what would it be?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The one word I\nwould use to describe Kumon is self-learning. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What advice\nwould you give to kids just starting Kumon?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Persevere even\nthough it can get hard. You might feel like quitting at times, but when you\nexcel it makes it worth it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do you\ncontinue to stay motivated in Kumon even when work becomes challenging?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

For me when things are easier, they are more boring. When the work gets challenging, it makes me more motivated to focus and get it right.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
