Preschool Math<\/font><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In the levels of the Kumon Math Program that correspond with\npreschool learning, students deepen their understanding of the number sequence,\nhelping them develop the skills they\u2019ll need when they learn addition and\nsubtraction. Students first learn to recite and write numbers, and then progress\nto counting. Once students have strengthened their counting skills and number\nsense, they begin adding, setting them up to tackle elementary school math\ntopics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Preschool Reading<\/font><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In the levels of the Kumon Reading Program that correspond with preschool learning, students progress from pre-reading skills to basic reading and writing. In the first two levels, they repeat and recite words, learning to associate spoken words with their written form. Next, they learn letter sounds and begin to write letters, then learn letter combinations and start reading. By the time they\u2019ve finished the first few levels of the program, they should be able to understand and write short sentences, preparing them for elementary reading topics. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
