As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, Arizchelle Fababaer serves as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. She creates an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and she emphasizes the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of her students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, she has a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed. Ms. Fababaer has gone through extensive training from Kumon and is a fully-licensed and certified Kumon Instructor.
An educator with more than ten years of teaching experience in various age groups and learning levels, Arizchelle began her teaching career early in 2006 as a volunteer instructor for Continuing Christian Education (CCE) at the Holy Family Catholic Church, teaching the Catholic faith to students in the second grade level. In the same year, she also began working for a Kumon Math and Reading Center as an assistant for students with diverse learning capabilities. She continued working for Holy Family Catholic Church for four years, while working for Kumon and starting her degree in the education program at the University of Houston in January 2010. In the final year of her program she worked as a student teacher in Herod Elementary School and in December 2012 she graduated with Honors. Soon after, she joined Almeda Elementary School as an educator, teaching students in the third grade level.
From practical experience stems Arizchelle's extensive skills on creating and executing developmentally appropriate lessons and assessments, managing mid-to-large sized classrooms, evaluating student work, and managing the skill and pacing of lessons according to each student's different learning abilities. She has excellent communication skills, and is able to build great rapport with students and parents easily and naturally. She delivers a positive experience with everyone she works with. She combines this with a deep understanding of the fundamental theories of teaching.
