About the Instructor

My name is Mini Sethi, I am the instructor at Kumon of Somerset - Easton Avenue.

Toru Kumon said that children are born with unlimited potential. Every child can excel by developing his or her ability through study at the “just-right level”. 

As an extensively trained and certified Kumon instructor my endeavor is to uncover and polish each child’s potential so that they become confident with their knowledge and skills that will stay with them forever. I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support, and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. In football terms I am their coach and a cheer-leader in one.

I have over 25 years of experience as an educator and over 10 years as a Kumon Instructor. Education is my passion. I hold 2 masters degrees - one in Education, the other in History. I completed my education from Delhi University in India.

I previously taught middle and high school students at Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram, one of the most reputable schools in Delhi, India. My ties with Kumon run deep, as I was a Kumon parent for over 5 years before I became a Kumon instructor in 2011. I am blessed to have the privilege to teach my students and to be able to learn from them everyday!

I am a certified Kumon Instructor and have done the curriculum multiple times. I hold 2 Masters Degrees (Education and History). As a Kumon instructor, I am constantly learning and training to become a better instructor!
