About the Instructor

Introduction

As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.

Biography and Background

About the Instructor
Bio

My name is Niyati Patel, and I am an instructor of the Kumon Math and Reading Center of Spring Valley-West. Prior to being a Kumon instructor, I obtained a Bachelor degree in Biology from UNLV and a Pharm D. from Roseman University of Health Science. Afterwards, I gained 11 years of working experience as a pharmacist. I have always had a passion for education and gaining knowledge, and I discovered that Kumon is a resource that can help a wide range of students with math and reading.

Kumon has been in my life for a long period of time since my kids started learning the Kumon method at such a young age. After helping my kids with their Kumon, I noticed a change in their progress in school. It was then when I realized the Kumon method of study, repetition, and moving confidently with a positive attitude was the reason behind their outstanding development in school. This inspired me to become a believer in the Kumon method and the benefits that come with it. All children deserve to experience self-learning where they can apply it in the future and help them succeed. I want my center to stand for empowering students to become confident and independent learners.
