About the Instructor

As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.

My name is Sam, and I am the certified Kumon Instructor at the Kumon Math and Reading Center of Tarrytown.

I have extensive experience teaching students in various stages of my academic career. In addition to my experience, I completed Kumon’s intensive training program and hold a degree in Education. I come from a family of teachers, and not only am I a Kumon Instructor, but I am also a Kumon parent. My personal experience and strong belief in the tremendous benefits of the Kumon program led me down the path to becoming a Kumon Instructor.

At Kumon of Tarrytown, each child's growth and progress is of paramount importance to me; and is the sole driver for everything we do at the Center. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a passion for education and am motivated to help children succeed. With support from my amazing team, I instruct my Kumon students with the goal of helping them develop a lifelong love of Math & Reading – and a solid foundation for academic success.
