About the Instructor

Introduction

As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, I serve as a mentor who guides your children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. I create an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and I emphasize the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of my students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, I have a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.

Biography and Background

Adina Dinca.jpg

I’m Romanian in origin and arrived in the United States in 2000. I have always loved teaching and have been tutoring English, French and Math on and off for over 19 years - always with a thought that I may make it my profession one day.

I have a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Business Administration and I passed with an A the Cambridge Advanced English Certificate. I have also completed extensive Kumon training and I look forward to applying this knowledge to furthering my student's education.

Prior to Kumon I was a program manager with the United Nations working towards a world free of the danger of landmines and other explosive ordnance. I lived in Romania, Sudan, France, Italy and the United States and traveled in over 15 countries which gave me a deep understanding and appreciation of diversity.

The Kumon Program resonated with me because of the individualized development that is at its core but also because of the amazing development that I witnessed in children: the self-confidence, the approach to life and learning and the discipline that it instills. I am honored to be a part of that development and look forward to making your smart child even smarter.
